Why did I name my blog "The North Slope?" I think of life as climbing mountains. There is always a mountain to climb. But once you get to the top, the view is fantastic, breath taking and more than you could imagine. You won't see many photos of me and that is because, my place is behind the camera, the one taking the photos and that is ok with me.
I am always climbing that mountain looking for that one photo that says, "Thats a winner folks."

The St. Louis Gateway ARCG is a landmark in this city symbolizing the gateway to the west. It is 160 feet high and a long walk if you take the stairs which I have done. Most visitors take the cars that ride up and down the leg of the arch.
